Welcome to Critical Condensation Poetics

Welcome to the online home of Critical Condensation Poetics, a bilingual poetry journal founded and edited by poet Mo Xiaoyu.

This journal publishes short poems in English and Chinese, along with theoretical and critical essays. It focuses on the extreme compression of language—poems that carry weight in the smallest possible space.

The term “Critical Condensation” describes both a way of writing and a way of reading. It sits on the boundary between presence and absence, saying and not-saying, the finished and unfinished.

The journal will publish irregularly. Submissions are welcome.
